I LOVE an outdoor wedding. Ceremonies, receptions, dinner, dancing… if I had the choice, I would do them all outside, all the time. But.. I live in Ottawa, making this impossible for a solid 8 or 9 months out of the year. Us Ottawans can often get away with a short outdoor ceremony, but committing to a full dinner outside is a rare occasion when you’re battling the possibility of +40 °C in July or -40 °C in January. Spring and fall are tricky too because one year we can see 30 degrees in October and the next we could have 6 inches of snow! So what can you do if you want that beautiful, natural look of an outdoor dinner but don’t want the risks that come with the weather? Chantal and Samantha booked this incredible greenhouse called Madsens, filled with greenery, indoor trees and twinkle lights! Beautifully captured by Bows & Lavender photography, this romantic wedding feels like it’s taking place outdoors on a beautiful summer evening... all without the threat of rain, wind or snow.
